If eligible for unemployment insurance, you can receive benefits in one of two ways:
1. Direct Deposit -
All claimants are encouraged to select direct deposit to receive their benefits. Direct deposit is free, fast, secure, and links directly to your bank account. Claimants can select direct deposit when first filing their claim. Current claimants can log into their account and easily change their payment method today!
2.
Debit Card (Default) -
For eligible claimants, debit card is the default method for receiving rental assistance benefits. Once your debit card has been issued, you can begin receiving your benefits directly through this card.
If you prefer, you may switch to direct deposit after your debit card has been issued. However, rental assistance payments will initially be made to the debit card until you make that change.
This system ensures a smooth and secure way to manage your rental assistance funds, giving you flexibility in how you access your benefits.
Unless you are eligible for a waiver of overpayment, you are required to pay back any overpayments.
1. Login your NALIHC account
2. Select "Set-up Direct Deposit" from the Menu/Navigation list.
3. Fill out the Direct Deposit Form
4. Click "Update"
1. Visit the portal link sent to your email when the card is shipped.
2. Click "Enroll"
3. Fill out the Form
4. Click "Activate" When Done
